17 years ago this week, Romania enjoyed one of its happiest, albeit grisliest chapters in its history. Nicolae Ceausescu, one of the most absurd, tyrannical dictators the world has known, returned from a trip to the Middle East, and was greeted with a good ole revolution. Today, the country is still polarized by the megalomaniacal monster that rose from life as a vagabond peasant to 'Conducator' of the Romanian nation.
